Do Not be Deceived!

Do you make much of Christ, or much of gaining wealth?  Many deceive themselves into thinking it is God's will that they pursue wealth. They justify it with good intentions and advancing the kingdom. If God is about His glory, I can say with much peace that God indeed uses some of His people to gain wealth to advance His Gospel but chances are, it's not you who spends the greater part of his thoughts thinking up new ways to get cash.

Don't be deceived, how much time and purpose have you wasted trying to get wealth? Be honest, you want it for yourself. God is no fool. You can't want cash and Christ. Cash for the kingdom usually comes to those who aren't pursuing it so that they would use it all for His glory. If you're really pursuing wealth and new schemes to get rich please examine your heart. Don't waste your life. I've never met a man that said "I want to think of a new way to make a million dollars so I can send missionaries to foreign countries." But I've heard of many men who've said, I want to glorify God, to live is Christ, to die is gain... now Lord please provide for your glory, use my gifts and resources to provide for Your mission. YES, I'M TALKING TO YOU!

Look at your news feed on facebook. Is there an outpour over the majesty of Christ, and His Gospel? Are you weeping over your sins? Are you coming to the Cross? Or is your timeline filled with marketing schemes and new business ventures every month?

Please don't get me wrong, I'm not condemning gaining wealth, this is a heart issue. There are alot of rich young rulers out there (and some rich old rulers). Oh, and feel free to insert "Success" for wealth in my status. This applies to you too.

Dark Days

Sighs...We are really in a dark day. The church SHOULD NEVER have to beg it's members to come to fellowship...let alone BEG THE WORLD TO COME IN WITH TRINKETS, GAMES, AND MUSIC! You are not a WHORE you are the BRIDE OF CHRIST!

Those who are His will come. 

Don't sell your self like an immodest women. Begging your idols to come play with you with promises of candy, games and fun. This needs to stop. God isn't in heaven begging people to come worship Him as if He needed us. He doesn't entice us to Him by promising fun and prosperity and other fulfillment of our fleshy desires. He tells us we will be satisfied, and we are to count the costs. Woe this generation that group up on youth church and seeker-sensitive propaganda...

Jesus is the Attraction! Jesus is the food!

Jesus is the Life. Hungry people will gather and feed on Christ in communion with each other. To advertise and promote church with trifles is an insult. Should the children of the God of glory be tempted with food, games, and fun?

 

The Call of A Husband

Christ bore the load of my sins, He loved me in my fickleness and my shame. I could not obey Him and yet He loved me still and gave me what I needed. He made no demands, His gift was grace. Now, am I to love my wife with this same love? Of course I am...only with the Spirit of Christ will I succeed.

We need a savior who can love us according to knowledge, a savior who can look past our sin, know that we are depraved, know that we can't help our sinning, know that we cannot fix ourselves or even approach Him rightly when asking for help. Indeed, we will insult our Savior, but we need Him, and He will and has loved us still. He will overlook our offense and help us. Azariah!!!  

 This is the call of a husband. Husbands, love your wives by answering their cry for help, even if their cry is without honor. Love as Christ has loved. Christ is our example, and He is our call...the call of a Husband.
